Verified Icon Style Guide
In the expansive network of Postman, numerous API producers with similar identities posed a challenge for API consumers in distinguishing the authentic ones. I led the task of collaborating with the Product Manager (PM) and other designers to address this issue. Our goal was to design and articulate a style guide for a verified icon, affirming the authenticity, utility, and trustworthiness of API teams. I personally crafted the icon to align with Postman's overarching iconography and detailed a style guide, specifying the icon's specifications and usage guidelines. Additionally, I designed an email template for notifying API producers upon receiving the verified icon. As a result of these efforts, the discovery of authentic APIs saw a notable improvement of 5.8%.

Style Guide
Since, Postman already had a design system for icons, keeping those guidelines in my mind, I personally crafted verified icon with the help of Senior Visual Designer. I also crafted the style guide for the verified icon, thereby making it easy to handover engineers to code and scale.
Interaction
I also designed how the interaction should be, when a user hover and clicks over the icon.
Notifying Teams
We decided to design an email template for notifying API producers upon receiving the verified icon.
I also designed the thumbnail/OG tag that will appear when teams will share this achievement on social media.
Reflections
This project provided me with valuable insights into contributing to a design system. I learned that building scalable components requires conducting a thorough audit of the product to understand how new components can seamlessly integrate across various pages.
It’s equally important to collaborate and discuss these changes with the stakeholders responsible for different parts of the product.
Additionally, this experience taught me how to systematically hand over designs to developers, ensuring a smooth implementation process.
